General English

The programs of study at our agency are designed in such a way, that people of different ages and prior language training can learn English.

Here we have a beginning course for those, who only recognize the English alphabet, as well as a course for those, who are already fluent in English.

Everyone who wants can choose any level of instruction starting from “ground zero” to the highest Proficiency level.  Each level is 100 academic hours and approximately four months long.

It’s recommended to study at a time convenient for students.  A free grammar test and test lesson will help you determine the right level.  We use printed and audio materials from Oxford University, Cambridge University, Longman, Thomson and express Publishing Presses.  For groups of General English, we use the Oxford New Headway materials for Elementary through Advanced levels.  This is one of the most popular systems in the world.  

For individual clients or off-site students or groups, we can recommend either these or other materials based on your needs and goals.

New Headway Elementary.  Consists of the necessary minimum of grammar and lexical topics.  Provides for understanding the minimal basics of everyday interaction.  Students study three times per week for 90 minutes as individuals or in groups of up to eight people only with a native Russian-speaking teacher.

New Headway Pre Intermediate.  Provides the skills to use basic grammar and conversation topics, the ability to solve uncomplicated everyday and business questions.  The lessons are three times a week for 90 minutes as individuals or in groups of up to eight people.  The lesson schedule is two lessons per week with a Russian-speaking teacher and one lesson with a native English-speaking teacher. 

New Headway Intermediate.  This is the middle level.  Provides knowledge of practically all grammar aspects, the skill to freely explain and express one’s thoughts.  Students may still make mistakes in speaking.  Lessons are three times a week as individuals or in groups of up to eight people.  Of these, one lesson per week is with a Russian-speaking teacher and two with a native English-speaking teacher.

New Headway Upper Intermediate.  High-middle level.  Provides a wide range of vocabulary, ability to use complex grammar constructions with few mistakes in speaking.  Lessons are twice a week for 90 minutes as individuals or in groups of up to six people.  All lessons are with native English-speaking teachers only.

New Headway Advanced.  Yet even a higher level.  Successful students will be nearly fluent in English.  This is the highest level in the New Headway series.  Lessons are twice a week for 90 minutes as individuals or in groups of up to six people.  All lessons are with native English-speaking teachers only.
