What is Market Leader and who is it for?

Market Leader is a five-level business English course designed to bring the real world of international business into the language teaching classroom. It has been developed in association with the Financial Times newspaper, one of the world's leading sources of professional information, to ensure the maximum range and authenticity of business content. The course is intended for use either by students preparing for a career in business, or by those already working who want to improve their English communication skills. Each Course Book provides approximately 90 - 120 hours of class work. 

Market Leader is available in the following levels:


Market Leader Elementary reflects the world of business today, and the issues that are shaping the business environment - from ‘the web' to ‘markets' and doing business across cultures. Students can really get to grips with these contemporary topics, making Market Leader one of the most relevant courses available.
Market Leader Pre-Intermediate reflects the world of business today, and the issues that are shaping the business environment - from ‘selling online' to ‘stress' and ‘developing new business'.
Market Leader Intermediate reflects the world of business today, and the issues that are shaping the business environment - from ‘ethics' to ‘leadership' and ‘change'.
Market Leader Upper Intermediate reflects the world of business today, and the issues that are shaping the business environment - from ‘international marketing' to ‘customer service' and ‘management styles'
Market Leader Advanced acquaints you with authentic materials from the Financial Times newspaper, and even special components by business sectors.

What is in the units?

Market Leader combines some of the most stimulating recent ideas from the world of business with a strongly task-based approach. Each unit is topic-based and features regular role plays and case studies. Throughout the course, students are encouraged to use their own experience and opinions in order to maximise involvement and learning
